Join the Rise Virtual 5K to honor AAPI Heritage Month and celebrate the numerous ways Asian Americans women have and continue to influence society. Our goal is to encourage people to celebrate Asian American women who have made an impact in their local community, and acknowledge and uplift strong Asian American women in their life.
Use your time on the run to learn more about how the Asian American community may have shaped where you live and local places of significance. Take a photo during your run, share it on social media, tag @FilipinaontheRise, and use #AAPIHeritageMonth.

What do I get upon sign up? You will be mailed a Sticker and will get a Participant Packet that includes a Digital Certificate to print out after Completion.
This past year we have witnessed a rise of violence against the AAPI community, and that Asian women were disproportionately victimized. Complicit in this is the historical stereotypes of Asian women as docile, submissive and silent. We are countering this by celebrating the strengths of AAPI women and honoring their contributions and impact.
Proceeds will go to AAPI Women Lead, an organization with supports AAPI women and girls with workshops and and research, and promotes movements such as #ImReady, which addresses issues like gender-based and racial discrimination and sexual harassment in the community
