    Join us for the Kultivated Bay Area Holiday Market, a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and holiday cheer! Presented by the new Bay Area organization Kultivated x KAL with Filipina on the Rise Bay Area Chapter, this one-day pop-up event on Saturday, December 14th is the great opportunity for local makers, and small businesses to showcase their unique offerings just in time for the Holidays!

Meet your San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Lead

Katherine Parsons is our enthusiastic “make it happen” San Francisco Bay Area city chapter lead! She was one of the founding members of the Filipina on the Rise team, and is the President of Bay Area organization Kultivated x KAL. Kat is local to Cole Valley, SF.

FAQs

  • Your group of like-minded Filipinas(x's) in your local city. Each city chapter organizes get togethers and meet ups unique to their city/ area. This is your place to meet new friends of Filipina background, share your own ideas, and form community and lasting friendships!

  • The FOTR City Chapters are Filipina-led but ALL are welcome. You can join the FOTR chapter in your local area if you identify as a Pinay and/or are interested in exploring your Filipina/x heritage with other like-minded folks.

  • Joining the city chapter is free! We want to keep this group accessible to all. Just note that some meet ups might require a small cost for a group activity depending on the plans of the day (coffee hang outs, museum tours, movies tickets, ect)

  • We are looking for 2-3 Bay Area locals to join the SF Chapter Committee for 2025! Fill out the form above to apply and learn more.

    It's the best when our community members are involved with planning and hosting the meet ups. Reach out to Katherine (kat@filipinaontherise.com) to bring your ideas to the table or even plan the next event!
